i think that for anything retarded like that, due to stupidity or ignorance should be punishable by a temporary loss of license until a mandatory (hard) driver safety course is completed. jimho.

ex:
drive into a pit cus you didnt see it.
hit a stop sign cus you were texting
go through a red cus the left hand turn light changed to green
etc...

 

That is why customers are not allowed to drive their cars into a workshop here
