Well i have a 99 nija zx7 and I was out riding and then i come to a red light and I put the bike in Neutral and then the bike seems like it wants to stop so i give it little throttle then the light turns green so i drop it in first and go, when i get back to the house i park the bike again and put in neutral to open my gate when i starts again the sound is like it wants to turn off and then it stops, What could this problem be is the battery or what, also i notice the neutral light goes in and out a little bit any type of help would be grateful thanx.

 

is the idle adjusted correctly.... ?

No, it does not.

Adjust your idle speed, make sure you have a full tank of good gas (or switch to reserve), make sure fuel filter is clear.

As I mentioned with regards to your other problem that you thought was a battery - I have the factory shop manual for your bike. I don't need it as I didn't get the zx7. Let me know if you want it.

Once the bike is running, you can take the battery out. It will keep running. Your battery is not the problem.

 

I will have the money for the manuel on thurs. and also how do i check the air filter.



ps. How do you want to do the exchange

 

To check the air filter you remove the gas tank and open the airbox. To check the fuel filter because that is what srobak was referring to you still have to take the tank off and it should be located on the left side of the bike, back near your seat. Thats where mine is. I have 03 ZX7R. srobak's manual should cover all that good stuff.
