Well the engine rebuild will have to be put off because the 1 is back and running. I am still going though sure I can find an old weed wackier to substitute, besides who really cared about fixing a motor anyway.
how bout a lawnmower?!?!?!?! I could really use the opportunity to learn how to fix one of those.........since I blew mine up......there is a big gaping hole in the side of it [sm=oopssign.gif] - but really, anything will do

Glad to hear you're up and running again!

tear it apart and see... i have done that, with exception to a hole in the motor, i have tore a few apart and took of the piece that makes them only revv to a certain rpm... i had a lawnmower that screamed... with matching weed wacker.... hehe...

my guess is that there wasn't enough good oil in the engine and a rod broke and shot it through the block. people usually neglect a mower compared the there car/bike. not saying I don't but thats what usually happens.

Timing and a worn tensioner was causing it. After setting the timing and then reinstalling the tensioner it would not create enough tension on the timing chain to keep it right, so as soon as you turned the crank it would slip 1 tooth on the intake. [:'(] New tensioner and the timing is good, pretty much just my inexperience but I am learning.

I guarantee that is exactly what happened.......my lawnmower was very neglected!! I figure its for the best.......mowing the lawn took up valuable riding time!!!!
