+1 it's fun watching them eat live food. usally when you feed them dead food you have to put them in a box with the rat and close it. thats no fun.

 

ill just stick with a huge dog

 

When I feed my boa, I just stick the rat in a shopping bag, swing it really hardand slam it on the ground. Generally, it puts the rat down quickly and easily. You may want to double bag the big rats though. I've had a few go flying out of the bag before.

Also, if you feed your snake dead rats, hold them by the tail (a set of tongs may be a good idea here) and wiggle them in front of the snake. this is how I feed my snake. My boa is kind of stupid, and will just stare at the dead rat if I just put it in the cage and leave it.

 

uh huh yeah. i throw the rat in the tankand my snake hits it right away, done.

 

ive hadthis snake for ten years and never any problems with live feeding. but each there own bro
