I have had my XBox 360 for well over a year, and I've never had a problem with it. It's been through 3 moves, spent a month on a containter ship, spent 3 months in the dusty as hell desert, and it still works fine. My old XBox hasn't given me any problems, and I've had it for 2 years. What it all amounts to is, no XBox, no Halo.That just wouldn't do. Now, on the flip side, my PS2 only worked for about a year and a half, and it stopped reading movies, and only read half of the games I had. I got sick of having to keep putting games in, turning it off, ejecting the disk, putting it back in over and over again, so I bought an XBox... problem solved.

 

Macs are great, I'm writing this post on one right now. I wish they had more games though, although I dont really play games on the computer anymore, just the consoles.

Back in my McJob days I worked as a technical support specialist at an ISP. You wouldn't beleive how hard it was to get people to do the very most basic things on a PC. I'm sure there'd be thousands more people on this forum if they were the slightest bit computer savvy. I firmly believe that a great percentage of computer users, are just not capable of learning how to run Linux, no matter how much you try to teach them. One of the biggest booms in the computer world was bringing it into the family household, shortly after booming some more when "Windows" was born, due to its ease of use. Maybe at that point, if it were Linux based, MAYBE it would fly, but not now no way I think.

Definately not saying Windows is better than Linux, totally depends on the application. IE: you wouldnt use a harley davidson ultraglide to participate in hill climb competitions.......although that would be pretty awesome to see

Bottom line....Halo 3 rules.

 

The 360's are well known for failing, my nephew had one that only lasted a couple of months. Microsoft to their credit are fixing them

Oh and as much as I hate Microsoft for this XBOX problem, I do love my new laptop with Vista, yeaaaa VISTA BABY!!! Oh and having two screens is cool too.
