I feel like whoring it up
I used Photoshop elements to do all that stuff. It's really the first time I have actually used it for anything. Kind of cool, but somewhat difficult to figure out all the options. My step dad told me he can get Photoshop CS3 for only $142 through the university he teaches at. Hell, that's almost a $600 savings! I'll be upgrading soon.[8D] I also just ordered a graphics tablet which should be arriving sometime this week.
You may have a hard time changing colors since your bike is silver, but this is how I did it.
1. I choose a picture I want
2. make a duplicate layer
3 go to enhance>adjust color>replace color
4. use the eyedropper tool in that window to choose the color you want to change, then just adjust the hue/saturation.
5. use the eraser tool to remove any color changes in the background. It's best to chose a picture that has a completely different background color from the object you're trying to replace the color with. (Example, if you had a blue bike with a blue sky background, both will change color when you mess with the color controls.)
Remember I have only been using this program for a total of maybe 3 hours. So I still don't have a very good idea what I'm doing here. There are probably way better ways of doing this. I just did it the newbie way.

I think the green looks slick.
