on my stuff for my msf course it says "eye protection (goggles, face shield, or
glasses)" so does face shield mean the visor on my helmet?

Yes, your faceshield refers to your visor. And thanks. I'm sure I will recover quickly.

The MSF course was a good time. I learned a lot (and I've been riding for nearly 25 years) and identified several bad habits that I had to break. The only thing they teach that I don't use is the "Four fingers on the clutch" rule. I use my middle two fingers for the clutch. That way my outside fingers can keep the clipons stable while my middle two clutch it up.
