this will take a few posts...

 

thats a high speed angle grinder - the type that uses abrasive disks to grind metal and cutoff metal.

 

I was trimming the end off an I beam at head height (i was wearing safety glasses) when the blade bound and exploded, see pic on myspace for the jagged mangled blade spinning at 30,000 rpm kicked out of my hands, bounced off the wall, hit me in the face and went down my chest untill it got tangled in my sweatshirt.

 

I got novacane to numb the wound while they cleaned the grit out and cut the hamburger looking skin back to have something to stitch up.

 

numbness wore off by the time they started stiching but the stiches didn't hurt compared to the novacane shot so i didn't tell them untill after they finished, just closed my eyes and used slow controlled breathing to ignore the pain

 

took about 5 days and my skin started to grow over the stitches so i had to get em removed. skin is still a little lumpy there but the hair covers it.

 

damn man i seen the photos and was like wtf glad your ok

 

and of course i drove myself to the hospital
