had my KTM top end serviced with new rings and surfaced cylinder wall about 35- 40 hours ago. Not sure I will ever need to do it again becuase it's a 450 and im just a couch rider these days.

Time for a second cup.
The 350 cc sleeve cracked. New sleeve installed, piston okay, new rings.

Rebuilt the top end on the KDX 220 last fall. It still had the original piston which is a known grenade problem. So, new piston and rings in it. It's a fun little machine and have some plans for it. It will be the beat-me-up nasty-**** shiity-trail bike.

 

now ya gotta get the through the bumpy grindies as I call them. AKA break in.

speaking of which I gotta order a new air filter. It's that last thing I always remember.
