Yeah it probably would have been better to not go to work, but I'm dedicated to my job, and I love my work. But not to the point of overtime or stress. Yeah its a stress free job...well except when the sprinkler pipe broke and flooded the GIS Lab!!!!

Well, woke up this morning and guess what? The ground is covered in deej's freezing rain. Took my own advice, went back to bed.

Keep an eye out on those condensate traps on those 90% units deej. They tend to clog fairly easily between the install shavings of the pvc pipe (if the pipe was not deburred during install) or of spiders and such. If you start getting flame failure, double check the trap.

Yes I'm quite familiar with the traps. Its amazing how dirty they get, and the spiders really like them too. That's why is important to prime them before putting them back into service, otherwise they are open for critters to set up base camp. And who cuts pipe without taking off the shavings? Are there really people out there that are that lazy? LOL

Pipefitters are notorious for installing pipe with no regard to what's inside it!

Ya think??? You would also think since it is procedure to keep the ends on it that they would too. Thats why you have the awesome QA inspectors.

I have been in construction for 25 years, and I have seen pipefitters do some of the most stupid things. It just makes you wonder why? And they lose materials as fast as you can buy it! I think they throw it away to extend the job.
Dont get me wrong, they all dont do these things, but I have seen it many times. And the things we have found in the pipe and control valves!
