husband with cancer
Oaky, you all have had your fun now. Stomp me while I'm down. You make grocery store jokes, but it's not very funny when you have to spend $150.00 a week at the grocery store to feed six people. I did find a place to help with the groceries. Angel Food Ministries. Unless you have been in dire need and close to loosing everything you have worked for all your life you probably have had no need to look for such places. I have found organizations to help with my utility bills, nestley has a program that helps me get the formula that I have to put into the peg tube which was placed in my husbands stomach because he is unable to swallow food, my children are now getting free lunches at school, we have friends that help us occationally, our families do what they can, and churches are helping a little. It's not like I was asking you for the shirt off your back. I am a very scared woman and before I found all of these organizations that could help, this was the first thing that came into mind. I guess I was dreaming. Well, I found out it was a nightmare after reading what was written in this forum. Now it's not about asking for money, it's realizing how people in the world are scared to help others because of the ones that have destroyed the trust in others because of their scams. I could probably tell you how much it really hurts to read all of the replies, but you would only joke about that too, which I'm certain I already am going to read a lot of rubbish over this reply. I just want you all to know my is still living, still sick, still not able to work,---oh, just forget it, you don't want to know how he's doing.
Glad that you were able to get a system that is helping ya out. I would have done the same as you, although I did not have internet at that time for my dad. So yes, I know what you are going through. Takes a brave person to ask for help in unknown waters. My lid is off to ya. Hope ya visit more often on anymore progress.
