Would you prefer me to say "Latin" instead of Spanish??

 

I met my wife while at south beach down in Miami. All i knew she was hot. Spanish,Italian,and Jewish (think about it guys) we hooked up that night and we were toghter almost every weekend intill I left for the navy and we kept in touch be emails and phone calls. After i came back from the war over there in Iraq she was there to welcome me home when my ship pulled in to San Diego. And then we ended up moving in with one and another and things went from there. We been married now for over 2 years and have a 18 month old daughter which loves my bike by the way

 

Well - that would work... it's just that Spanish people are from Spain, Mexican people are from Mexico and they *speak* Spanish - because the Spanish invaded Mexico and most other South American countries and wiped out entire cultures like the Aztecs and the Incas.

Sorry - it is a pet peeve of mine - I hear people do things like ask what part of Mexico is Honduras in sometimes, and that just twists my crank... especially in this global, online age - I think folks need to be a little more in-tune to geography. We all went to school, we all had geography classes, and we all know the origins of the Americas.

I agree about the location thing, sorry....inaccuracy bred of laziness, and habit. When I was a cop in FL I worked the part of town that had the biggest mix of nationalities, and 'Spanish' was the catch all for Latin people, since to guess wrong and call a Mexican a Puerto Rican or vice-versa could cause instant meltdown!! My wife is of PR roots, born in NYC, so she's a New Yorican, lived in PR for a few years, very traditional upbringing, still speaks Spanish, and taught her kids Spanish too. Sometimes that hot blood can be dangerous, but usually it's just a lot of fun!!!! Mine also doesn't think she's hot, despite my efforts to convince her otherwise!! I keep telling her she could have done much better than me, and if she knew how hot she was she might have tried, so I lucked out!!!!

I'm surprised that all your Florida Latinos were not "Cuban" according to everyone else. Or maybe that's just in Miami

And I think I lucked out too.... if she knew how hot she actually was, she surely wouldn't be stuck with my sorry ***. rofl.

I even went to so far as to put her up on hotornot.com because it was driving me nuts that she didn't think she was attractive. 3000+ votes and she is hovering around an 8. Personally, I think she is a 17... but good enough. heh
