Has anyone bought a helmet off ebay? Would ya trust a helmet off Ebay? Just need some feed back before i buy. thanks

 

In all honesty....I wouldn't buy a used helmet unless I knew the person selling it and knew 100% that it would be a safe helmet. But thats just me.

 

No i mean brand new helmets off Ebay. They do sell them on there brand new. Oh i know better not to buy a used helmet. cant tell if its been dropped or no.

 

There shouldn't be a prob buying a new helmet off of ebay. I bought the "other halfs" HJC from Ebay, and had no probs. The only advantage that I could see with it, is every helmet manufacturer sizing differs, and each brand helmet or style is made for different shaped heads. So you might not get as good of a fitting helmet from Ebay as opposed to a local retailer.

 

I bought my shoei helmet from a friend who bought it new on ebay. as all as its new and from a reputable seller, it should be fine. just make sure it checks out when you get it, make sure all the labels and stuff are inside and check the make date.

 

Where is the Make date

Mine is on my tag in the helmet.

 

somewhere on the inside of the helmet, depends on the make, my shoei in of the front chin. my hjc is on a tag on the upper inside part of the helmet. each manufactor gives its own life span of a helmet, it might be a new helmet, but been sitting on the shelf for 3 years so half its life is gone.
