Happy St. Patty's!
To all the Irish! Cheerio!
And to everyone else who loves St. Patrick's Day,
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
Thanks LD, Happy St. Patty's to you as well!
I remember one St. Patty's I spent in Allendale, SC. It wasn't even a one-horse hitch town, it was half-a-horse hitch town, hehe. The local bar had beer on tap and everything was decorated green. The taps were greenish. Upon asking the bartender if they were decorated just for that day he proceeded to pour me a glass, "The first one's free" he said. So I chugged it to which he cautioned, "Slow down there junior. Trust me." As I sat smoking a cig I noticed the smoke was turning first purple then orange. As it turned out, the green on the taps was some sort of fungus. The bartender would tap the "tap" to get some flakes in the glass. Suffice to say it had the same qualities as shrooms, hehe. It was a pretty out of the way dive but they had the best green beer I ever had!
