Default The greatest voices of rock

The local Classic Rock station had a poll last month, asking listeners who they thought has the greatest voice in rock. Starting last week, they played one singer per day. Today, they had the winner. Freddie Mercury, of Queen.

Personally, I would have put Robert Plant as the Number One. But Freddie is not a bad choice, at all.

I think there were some real surprises on the list, as well as those left off the list. But, they only had room for 10.

Not the band, but just the singer. Who has that *Golden Throat*.

Who would you say it is?

This is the list C-Town listeners picked...

10. Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)
09. Steve Perry (Journey)
08. Jim Morrison (Doors)
07. Stevie Nicks (Fleetwood Mac & Solo)
06. Bob Seger
05. Ann Wilson (Heart)
04. Roger Daltrey (Who)
03. Paul Rodgers (Bad Company, Free & Solo)
02. Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin & Solo)
01. Freddie Mercury (Queen)

I would have put Plant and Perry long before Mercury, but that's just me. Hell - even Vince Niel and Brett Michaels... heh.
