Those guys saw some serious action. Not suggesting later/current conflicts are any less brutal, but the trenches in WW1 were in a league of their own; victory by attrition. Lots of respect for veterans from me.

Yeah no doubt,, I just loved reading it, especially the part where he met up with a German Artilleryman that he fought against and was able to shake his hand,, and the funeral the way it was was really really respectfull. for everyone that was lost in the great war.. so Yeah I enjoyed reading that article
