RE: Forum Lag
Instead of"slow", it's more like it just gets stuck every now and then, and its getting stuck more frequently.
When it works, it works fine and speed is good. When it hangs, it could take minutes to get un-stuck. Sometimes when it gets stuck, it dumps me and I have to login again. (I get really pissed when I get dumped aftersubmitting a reply, and I loose the post because of it. [:@][:@][:@])
One trick that works sometimes is to hit the browser's Refresh button - if I click on something and the site doesn't respond (e.g. navigating, Reply, Edit, etc.), I'll refresh, then click again. The site may not respond immediately, but it seems to respond quicker than if I just let it go for a few minutes until it decides to play nice.
When they updated the web site a couple weeks back, everything was REALLY good, but then it started slipping back into its old ways. It's starting to get really frustrating lately. (BTW - The problem is specific to this website -- when KF gets cranky, I can surf other websites without any slowdowns or delays, and come back here later to see if the temper-tantrum is over yet.)
Mike
P.S. - If I remember to protect myself against getting dumped while posting a reply, I select the message text (Ctrl-A) and copy it to the clipboard (Ctrl-C) ... that way, if I get dumped, I can login, hit reply again, then paste the message back into the new window (Ctrl-V).

Like wise guy said it gets stuck every once in a while, but i really have no problems with it, seems to be running its normal speed. But at least when it slows down I get a chance to pay attention to the professor.
