Default Finally.. A good ride report!

I'm very excited. The break-in period is finally over. I went to Atlanta Saturday morning on the bike. It's about time I took the bike on a longer trip. While I was riding back, the odometer clicked past 1000 miles. I got to bring it to the redline, and it was a blast. It was about 40* when I got on the highway. It was freezing. This is the downside of not owning a car. I had to stop and thaw out for about half an hour on the way home. The bike handles really well on the highway. I think I need to get a steering damper, but it's not that much of a necessity. For a 600, this thing accelerates like a bat out of hell. I got about 50mpg on the highway. After putting about 250 miles on it in one stretch, I was really glad I went for the ZZR. For a sportbike, it was extraordiarily comfortable. The weight was kept off of my wrists, and the seat didn't get uncomfortable. The only thing I've found that I really need is the double bubble windscreen. Other than that, I have absolutely no complaints.

Rocket,

Where are stationed? I did some time at Fort Stewart in the early 90's

Edit: Nevermind. it is amazing what you find when you look at "location"..lol

I did my AIT at Fort Gordon. Got my first tatoo from the tatoo parlor outside the main base. Tore my knee apart(It still has not healed right) there on a battalian run. We were running on the clay track and guy in front of me tripped and fI fell over him and wacked my knee. That same injury ended my career 2 yrs later.
