i never underestimate stupidity.... when i worked at pennzoil the guy working sales sold a 4X4 service to a lady driving a 2 wheel drive ford explorer... she had no clue was all ready to pay for it, and i was like uh.... its only 2wd.... i can understand not knowing how it works.... but she didnt even know it wasnt 4x4..... wtf....

 

+1 some people here and on my other forum claims it to be fake so what,, Go work in a shop then tell me what you experiance,, Ive seen far worse just working at a subaru dealership.. there is totally stupid people out there.. I mean a 2006 sti came on the roll back.. guy changed his oil guess what he put back in its place,, Tranny Fluid, 4 and half quarts.. a lil dont hurt but the whole thing,, Yeah it wasnt pretty.... haha

 

another guy came in and we noticed him pull up, it was a saturn car, it was smoking worse than any 2 stroke dirt bike ive ever seen.... so he comes in and tells us that he just had his oil changed at another place and it didnt look like they put any oil in, so he puts in 4.5 quarts..... so we say we will look at it, so he pulls in and i check the dipstick, and its like half way up the stick, it was clean and he couldnt see it on the dipstick so he added more oil so there was close to 9 quarts of oil in the small 4 cyl that only takes 4.25 quarts..... lol.....

 

I was at discount auto parts one time looking to buy mercon 3 (tranny fluid, i was actually looking for syncro-mesh oil, but then found out that mercon was less corrosive) well i was looking for it the sales guy comes up and ask if he can help and i said i am looking for manual transmission fluid, and then the guy actually told me to put regular 5w-30 instead because that is what he uses, i kindly said oh ok, walked out and never went to that store again...what an idiot. honestly i don't doubt that there are people that clueless out there.

 

oh yeah seen that to haha.. and thats a bit much for everything haha I love it... I still can beilive that the oil in the crankcase and the sand in the intake would be true,,, there is retards out there working on there own piles and The more they fudge up the happier I get lol

 

some lady had a jeep cherokee, and her husband thaught she was changing the oil all along..... wrong...... she never did..... it had 39,000 miles on it...... the oil looked like tootsie rolls coming out of the pan... im surprised it didnt lock up....

My wifes HHR takes automatic tranny fluid in the manual trans... lol

 

Oh there out there haha,,, now thats awsome that guys car didnt run long im sure lol.. Now there is some manual tranny cars that take Auto Trans Fluid mostly small ford cars but thats what it calls for.. as of motor oil in the tranny no dice for me... BUT every 3 oil changes I do on my subaru I add 3 and half quarts of oil and 1 quart of tranny fluid, drive it for about 30 miles then drain agian and reill all the way with oil... I know sounds dumb but its not.. I dont recommend it in other cars but Subarus can handle it and what it does is quits all the lifters and grabs crud and crap for a nice flush.... Learned this in Suby School.. when they told me aobut it,, I was like your on drugs but its in the books and it works well.... some things work but most dont haha
