That's an urban legend KB, they don't really eat the stomachs of camels. They are only called camel spiders because they are massive and live in the desert. They don't even have any numbing venom.

hmm what i had read wasn't that they eat the camel but that they lay their eggs in its stomach.

Check out camelspider.org. They don't scream when they run either, but they do hold their 2 front legs up. They also don't chase humans, they are just trying to stay in the shadows and out of the sun.

you sure about that? unless my airforce buddy was lieing one was chasing one of the mechanics around the hanger till they killed it last time he was over there. the only screaming was the guy being chased screaming like a little girl (the way he tells the story anyways)

It was probably trying to stay in his shadow. They aren't aggressive toward humans. When I caught this one, he wasn't chasing me around.

Yeah, he's pretty small. I want to find a deathstalker scorpion, but they are dangerous. Over here, there are shadows everywhere.

if you can keep him alive and grow him to the size of the spiders in the link you previously posted he will be bad arss. It would be cool as hell to see him in a big aquariumwhen he is full size. Nice find.
