I have to add to this, something so simple and yet it meant the world to me. We drove an hour and a half this morning to sign re-finance papers and to do a little grocery shopping to catch up from the previous storm that cut the power and supplies into town. Anyway on the way home, my wife reaches over and gently puts her hand in mine and says and I quote: "I love you dude" I said dude? and we both laughed, but that's how it is with us, we just know each other so well. Tomorrow its our 14th anniversary, and that means something to both of us. That's twice as long as I was married to my first wife. This one is a keeper for sure. I know it doesn't really seem like that big of anaccomplishment, but to me, its everything.

one of many macgyver stories... I had my the cast aluminum bracket that hold the clutch hydraulics onto the transmission of my car snap in half at 1 am in the middle of nowhere virginia on my way home from college one night (7 hour drive)

when it happened i pulled off the road into the nearest lighted place i could coast the car. that place happened to be a recycling/trash center. I spend an hour or two trying to cut up cookie tins and **** to hold the bracket together but nothing was strong enough. So i took my snips and cut a disk of metal out of the side of the dumpster itself. trimmed it to shape and used a screw driver and hatchet to pound holes in it. wrapped it around the bracket and bolted it all back into place and drove another 4 hours home like that.
