Well I do like revolvers, and one of my lady friends has a .38 that is pretty badass... but I personally would just rather a semi-auto. So from the 2+ pages thus far, I take it that the Glock is the gun of choice (out of the two options)? The simplicity of the Glock has always been a big selling point.... Haven't made it by my boy's house yet, but I'm on my way there some time this week.

.40 S&W a good round, right? Not too expensive, not too big, not to small? Definately like the affordability of 9mm but not the lack of stopping power.

Guns are like women, everybody likes something different. From what I know about Glocks, they are as dependable as it gets for a semi auto. My next semi will be a Kimber in a 45 acp. It just doesn't get any better than that.

my bud has a Kimber 45 and it is sweet to fire...grips are a little too thin for my big paws...doesn't even feel like a 45 when you fire it...

Thanks so much for all the opinions and information guys. I've decided that I'm 99% set on the Glock now, in .40 S&W. Still have to shoot my friend's some time soon, and then save my money until taxes come in first of the year. Great info all around as usual, KF
