Anyone have back/old stock tire sources?
Dunlop killed the D220... I want to get as many as I can find.

Srob, is that the only tire you can feel good on? They make so many good tires these days, and I know when you find one that works, you want to stay with it. But it looks like you could find a comparable tire with the variety we have these days.
Just askin dude!

Took me going through 4 different tires to find that one - including Metzler and Dunlop Q's... The Q on the front is great, but on the back it is way too stiff of a ride. I need something that both awesome in traction and lateral stability for hard cornering, but also needs to ride very nice for the extended highway/straight riding I am burdened with in Chicagoland.
It is a Z rated sport/touring tire - and has been raved about on FJR1300 and ST1300 forums when mixed with a Metzler front. As the ZX9 is closer to a sport/tour than it is a puresport, I figured to give it a try. It was beautiful. Like a whole new bike - and with a level of confidence in it's cornering grip that even Pilot Power couldn't compare to. Between the weight of the bike and my weight combined - I needed a much heavier duty tire than something for the sub 400lb 600s with a 150lb rider.
I know I will eventually end up with the Z rated RoadSmarts - but I will do it only after I have exhausted the very last D220 on the planet
I do not have the time, patience, or $ to go testing out tires all over again.

Well, the fronts are not so great, and their tread pattern leaves a lot to be desired... but the backs are awesome, in my opinion.
btw - 58cycle shows them in stock on their web page, but does not have any in stock and cannot get them.
