RE: Is Anyone apart of this
I saw a guy last summer who was part of this... his FJR was completely hooked up... CB, spare fuel tank on the trunk rack - looked about 8 gals with a valve, thermal hookups, gps, water tank with tube, CATHETER (no I am not kidding), one VERY comfortable seat... the whole bit. Was cool as hell. Neat guy... had something like 80k miles on his 05 FJR. My hero.

thats a little over the top there.... you dont need all that crap... if you ride 70 mph it wouild only take you 15 hours to ride 1000 miles... that gives you plenty time for gas and a few stops

JK - rode my bike 636 from LA to San Jose one morning before work - that'll never happen again!

Yeah - if you ride a sportbike for distance, you should really count on 1 to 2 stops per hour, for at least 5 mins each to get off, walk around, stretch out legs and knees and back... I did that on my trip to my dad's last summer (6 hours 1 way), and I was fine, and ready to keep riding the rest of the week, plus the ride back and did another 250 miles the day after I got back. Also planning to do the same on my Lake Michigan Circle Tour this summer.

A couple of my buddies and I are joining one of our HD buddies on his Iron butt ride this summer, seems as though sport bikes don't get included like the HD's. We leave from Augusta maine and head south and hit check points and save gas reciepts to prove where you were at a particular time.No big trophies just bragging rights on the IB web site
