Unhappy Another Rider Down

Well today one of my bro’s from work went down on his 10R, and went down hard. I don’t know how he lost control but it was right behind work. Some of the others guys said they heard a blurp of the throttle and then a loud crash. All I know is he plowed into a parked car on the street, and he has compound fractures at both of his ankles and one wrist. I don’t know if he was goofing off or if someone pulled out in front of him or what… just everyone out there ride safe. My thoughts and prayers are with him as he is probably in surgery right now. It will take many months to recoup from this even with rehab.

Here are picks of his bike.

Sorry to hear about your bud, GS. He didn't walk away under his own power, but it sounds like he will live to ride again. Gotta be thankful for that. Keep us updated, hope he comes through OK with no permanent damage.

yes it could have been worse. he is lucky a car was parked there and not the usual full size truck. he slamed into a plastic bumber with a energy absorber and trunk lid. if the truck would have been there like normal it would have been a steel bumper, hitch, and ball mount.

It's so sad to hear. I hope your friend has a quicker recovery than what it sounds like is in store for him. Wish him the best from me.

This kind of thing makes me sick to my stomach. But I'm glad he's gonna be okay. Plus, he's a biker. He's got a stronger spirit then the rest of the population. He'll show those recovery doctors whats up.
