Yep - car dealerships are notorious for putting armor all on the treads of bike tires.

These old Honda 750 engines were popular for metric choppers. Very reliable. Can even get a complex plastic model of one to assemble. SOHC 2 valve. Cool.

I had a 750 just like that one. For it's time, it was a rocket. That old bike was hell to start, but ran like a striped ape once it was running.
