hey guys im new to the forum n wasnt to sure where to post this but i just bought a 96 ninja... but im not to sure what it is.. he said its zx6r but the sticker on the tank says zx6e... wandering if the tank coulda been changed or whats up?

 

Hey Man Welcome to KF,, Umm Im not totally sure cuase im not familiar with that bike, but im sure someone will be along that is smarter than me lol.. But anyway I would say its a zx6r, only becuase I never see an E, But I also not that familiar with it.. But Welcome

 

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... but I'm fairly certain that the "e" is just an internal Kawasaki designator. For example, a 2002 ZX6R has the internal designator ZX600J8P (as does the 2005-2008 ZZR600)
