Default Q on keeping muffler bolt from vibrating off

Well actually I am looking for a solution to keep an muffler bolt from vibrating off.

I have an aftermarket exhaust which uses a bolt through a small plate welded to the rear frame and a nut welded to the back of the small plate. A second nut was used to secure the bolt over the welded nut. The original muffler hanger tab on the bike broke off so the small plate has served well. However the outer nut vibrates off and then then the bolt becomes loose.

Suggestions I have seen are Locktite blue / medium, a nylock type of washer and wiring the nut to the bolt. Locktite is simplest, I may find a nylock in the correct size if I am lucky, and wiring seems like overkill and a bit of trouble to implement.

Any suggestions based on real world experience would be much appreciated.

What about a split washer?

I wouldn't trust nylon to hold up on an exhaust. Locktight is made for the job. A little (very little not a glob) high temp RTV on the exposed threads works as a backup if you keep loosing nuts.
