Default KX 85 runs rough

My son's 2003 KX 85 starts fine, but bogs when you rev it. It's not as bad when the choke is on, but gets worse with the choke off. I've changed the plug, pulled the carb and cleaned it. Still does the same thing. Any ideas?

basic question: What is the needle height? or what clip selection on the needle height?

Still sounds like you have a plug in the slow circuit section of your carb or an air leak possibly from a loose boot or something? Are the reeds in place properly, where they checked for cracks?

When I took the carb off, it was very loose in the intake boot. When I put it back on, I made sure it was snug. But it still runs the same. Tomorrow I'll spray a little carb cleaner around the boot and see if it idles up.

Think I'm going to try replacing the reeds. It has a set of Boyesen reeds in it now. Gonna swith to V-Force.
