kawasaki 450r
Welcome to KF
First of all, check your manual. Definitely sounds like a coolant/gasket leak somewhere. A leak down test should test the head gasket and top end. I would also be su****ious of the water pump seals. (I do not have a manual on this ride but a look at the parts fiche should help you)

I went to the dealer and they changed the upper headgaskets on the top end or something nd i paid 800 nd i wanna know if i got ripped off but now they telling me its leaking from the crankcase i feel like something fishy is going on let me know what u thinkthanks
wow....$800 for a gasket change is unreal...! I need you as a customer (if I was a mechanic). But as I mentioned above, I have not played with the 450r nor do I have the manual. So I could be off in my time and material costs.
If you ran the bike with bad oil, the gear surfaces and bearings will burn and start to gall from improper oiling. So yes, it is possible. However, that would not cause the issue of how the coolant got into the crankcase to begin with.
This is where I was curious on if the water pump gasket or 'O'-ring was causing a coolant leak into the crankcase.
edit: see gasket 11061 in the fiche

and are we talking about the same engine?
