2006 Kawasaki KX250F sticky throttle
 

Hi guys! I have a 2006 Kawasaki KX250F! I picked it up on marketplace blown up for 1200$, it was the cheapest deal in my area. Rebuilt it according to factory spec, new all ballz bearings, hot rods crank with a vertex piston. Installed new valve seals and checked my valves, they sealed and looked good (I do need to shim them properly though, they are loose a few thou.) All and all, the bike had everything but a carb rebuild. Fired it up and ended up tuning it in. The bike also has a powercore 4 on it, with a new gasket. The joint seems strong between the pipe and the header. Main-190, leak-42 and the idle was stock if I'm not mistaken. Replaced my fuel screw. The bike idles like a dream, revs up quickly and has a lot of power, but for whatever reason the throttle sticks? It just likes to rev up and act like I'm holding the throttle a quarter or so open, even after closing it. If I jockey the throttle it goes back to a normal, slower but not too slow idle. Cables are quite loose and free, no sign of the slide sticking. Everything seems like it's installed correctly according to the factory manual, and I was told by the previous owner it did have the same problem before he blew it up. No misfiring, no other obvious issues. I'm stumped. Same symptoms if I swap in a 178 jet. Plug looks great at a 178, however. Pulled the carb apart last week and found no sign of anything wonky, but the wheels did wear two streaks in the side of the FCR and seemed a little loose with play.
