Mine's more of a sport-tourer. I've ridden it from San Diego to Philadelphia and back, to Colorado and to Canada several times.
Here's a photo of my bike in front of this huge open-pit copper mine in Eastern Arizona:

The little green-circled things are those huge ore trucks that are the size of apartment buildings. The drivers have to climb 24 steps to get into the c0ckpits

She's currently in the middle of a valve adjustment at 43,000 miles right now. The next one will be at 50,000 miles and I still love this bike!
