Default zx6r or zx7r??

I am looking to buy a 600cc bike but have had no luck. I have recently come across two 00' zx7r's that are in my price range. My questions is would a zx7r be that much more power then a zx6r? I want to be able to keep the front wheel down and now have to be working to keep it down. THanks for your help. Chris.

You can wheelie the 600 just as easy; it all depends on how you ride. Use commonsense, ride within your ability and you can start on a liter bike if you wanted too.

Just take it slow and you will be fine.

I rode a 700 once, yeah it had power and you could wheelie, but like Notstock said, it all depends on how you ride it. It never came up on me. Just found it alot heavier then my bike and didn't like it on the turns, but that' just me. I enjoy my 600 for turns and the straight line power isn't much to complain about.

But if you found a 700 in your $$ range. Go for it.

just like lil D and notstock said, it's up to the rider on how he or she controls the bike..... it's never the other way around...... so be safe....

Thanks guys. I wasn't trying to say that a 600 won't wheelie, it's just that I have been riding two of my friends bikes (f4i and gsxr 600) and I know its not hard to bring up the wheel so I didnt want to get a bike with even more power and always have to have the wheel come up when I get on it. I want a fast bike that I can keep it in control not a bike that everytime I get on it I have to get right back off because it is coming up. SO basically just making sure it will still be a fun bike not an over powered bike that is too much for the street and me.

The 7 is actually more stable than the 6.But it is not as agile or as light as the 6.It is more powerfull, but it's really not a break away. Both are excellent choice's .I personly ride a ZX 7 and it has what I need.
