Welcome to the forums and congrats on the 7.
What are your intentions for the ride?

I just joined the forum and I'm picking up my 02 ZX7 tomorrow. The previous owner already has some pretty good mods on it: D & D exhaust, fender elim w/leds, +2 sprocket, tinted windshield, flush mount signals. The only thing was that he pulled off all the stickers so it's kinda plain; I guess a blank canvas.

I know where there is one ... in the wrecker yard not far from here...

I had a buddy (younger and not so wise or experienced) trailing me...he thought I was going to pass a car on a double-yellow. I DON'T THINK SO! He moved into the rear of my bike while accelerating as I was braking.
Anyway, in trying to control my sweet '03 7R, I rolled on the throttle and made the bike worse, it kicked back and forth hard enough I knew what was next and I wasn't about to have the bike BEHIND ME as I am tumbling! So I ditched it at about 80 mph.
The motorcycle gods were watching out for me that day. Thanks to my alpinestars boots, joe rocket jacket, and shoei helmet, I rolled/slid to a stop with shredded clothing and 2 quarter sized rash spots; one on my right forearm and one on my hip. A little soreness in my shoulder and ankle from the impact, but all in all, doing great.

The 7R didn't fare so well. She went into a ditch on the other side of the road and hit a rock embankment. It hit hard enough to sheer the bolt at the top of the triple-tree, bent both forks, cracked the frame, bent the front wheel, damaged the tank, swingarm, and all plastics. RIGHT AFTER I CONVERTED TO HID LIGHTS AND JUST PUT ON A NEW BACK TIRE!
Kawi shop said they stopped looking up parts when they hit $10K!

Well. Insurance is giving me retail for it. This will pay it off and give me enough to put down (with some savings) on a '07ZX10R.

So look for ole Grease to be hangin' in the ZX10 forums.

Since I have ZX7 mirrors on my ZX9 - does that grant me dual membership? Or if not - will me having owned the 93 before?
