Default starting problems

Ok, I know this has been gone over before, but for the sake of me havinf to re read a million posts again.... I have a 93 ZX7 and when you turn the key, hit the start, all you get is clicking. the lights come on, but nothing else happens. I was told it may be the ignition module? I shorted the post with a screwdriver and it turns over all day but wont start. could it be the relay? any help would be appreciated

I had a similar issue once with the 01 ZX7. Turned out that the battery post connections were not 100% tight. Check for corrosion there too.

After that, check the contacts on the start button switch
