second time is a charm but still not right
1990 zx750 F.....OK got it back together after cleaning the floats. There was a lot of trash in new used tank. Added inline fuel filters as well. Put old dented tank back on. It runs smooth and gas isn't pouring out of carbs any more.
My new problem is when I jam on the throttle it bottoms outs. Slow rev up the bike does fine; I first noticed it when I was on a steep incline in 6th gear running about 55 mph.
I can drive the bike around under normal conditions; just if I need to get into it will bog out. Almost like a governor is on to stop quick rev.
Maybe jets got trash in them as well? Any recommendation on best way to flush a tank?

thread the fittings out of the bottom - use the tank cleaner/sealer kit to flush/etch it then seal it from ever rusting again.

the slow revup is probably fuel starvation. the source of it is hard to say since it happened when you put the old tank back on. sounds like you fixed the float valves onthe fuel pouring out issue. jets could be gunked up or they could need adjustment.
