Default question on where to get some stuff

Since it's about that time of year to put the 88 750R away for the winter I want to fix "Bob" up. (Bob comes from what we were going to call our 2nd child that we decided not to have, so I named the bike Bob)

Here is a list of what I'm looking for and since I'm new to the motorcycle world I thought the best place to ask was here.

1. Body panels
2. Frame sliders
3. Aftermarket rims

I'm sure other year of bike rims would fit this bike I'm just not for sure on what so that'll help if anyone knows. Thanks guys!

Questions: OEM bodywork?
2? No need for frame sliders on that ride from my experience. (actually a statement)
3) I still have not figured that one out yet. Still use the same rims.

OEM or aftermarket bodywork.

As for the sliders, a friend said they're a good idea to save the body work since I plan on putting on some wild paint(I'm thinking either chamelion green/purple/black or black with blue ghost flames and skulls)

The lowers will still get screwed on scratches with the frame sliders. If you run oem pegs even, not bad. Plus, I have no knowledge with using frame sliders on the '88. Just never did that option. Spent my $ on suspension and setup instead.

What kind of suggests do you have suspension mods? Or set up mods. I really need to get the 4to1 header and exhaust kit on and rejet it. I don't think it's been done even though it has K&Ns on it and Muzzy muffler.

set the sag first, resprung the fork and played with different oil weights. Played with the Metzler m1's on it. Not much can be done to the stock shock. I did not mod mine hardly at all. I kept the stock exhaust on it as well. Was a nice daily driver.

I'm really wanting a newer bike since there is so much more out there for them. My wife has really opened up to motorcycles. Last year she would have divorced me had I gotten one. Now she loves seeing me on one. She won't ride, but she really like them. She even mentioned maybe I should drag race a motorcycle instead of my Mustang! WOW! I don't know if I'm ready to do that yet......turbo mustang....motorcycle...turbo mustang....motorcycle...tough call in my eyes. If I get a newer one I'll think about it. I'm really working on a new ZX14 with her.LOL

But as of right now. I love the 88 750R and I'll probably keep it for a long time. It's a fun bike. And since it's a "smaller/mid" bike it keeps me out of trouble. LOL.

The 750 is a good ride. I averaged 17k miles a year for two years on the new gal.

edit: No mods though.
