carb sync tool
I just got the service manual and I'm ready to start some minor wrenching to try and tune the bike. Not a heavy duty wrencher (computer programmer by trade) but this seems like something I could do.
Can anyone recommend a decent but not too expensive carb sync tool?

At the moment, analog gauges are still more costly than the mercury filled units.
edit: Get a set that will do all 4 on the rack, prolly $100 bucks for the cost.

+1, ball gauges are much more percise than dial, they are a little harder to use but are great once you get the hang on them, a 4racked digital set is on the market too, super easy to use and work with, youll be needing a carb synch screw driver also if you dont have a fairly long flat #1
