I have a 92 zx7r with flat slide carbs... I'm thinking I'd like the bike to be a bit more rideable in town. don't get me wrong, when I want the bike to go flat out, it does that very well! But, under 4,000 rpm... just remember to roll on slowly!

So, anyone have a set of 92 zx7 carbs as opposed to the flat slides?

I have 3 sets of carbs that came with the race car I bought. one is brand new in box.
I am updating to fuel injection so I will be putting them on e-bay
e-mail me with questions. I also have 3 91-95 motors that I will be listing as well
I was on this site looking for the years that are compatible and saw your post
They should fit 91-95. I can send pictures.

Yep three motors and 4 carbs, I am moving to fuel injection for the formula indy race car I drive. Got rained out today so I am bummed out. I see the motors are around$600 on ebay and carbs are 150 -200. all my carbs are jetted for performace. The Ninja set up has me third in points and only 1 driver error put me in the wall for a DNF all year. e-mail me if you are interested otherwise I will put them on ebay over the next month

explain your problem again with your carbs. b/c my carbs with the stage1 jet kit lacks power under 4k. are they the stock carbs that came on the bike? if you watch ebay enough, you can get a set for around 50ish.

 

its not so much a problem as wanting to see the difference... 7r carbs (flatslide) are boggy below 4k. zx7(w/o the r) carbs are not flatslide and i believe have the butterfly valves which help to remedy the lower rpm's.

since my valve adjust and carb synch i'm much less inclined to take the carbs back off though.
