Hello all, I have a 92 ZX7, my rearshock is feeling a little loose. I have very little adjustment left. I was wondering if a rear shock from a later model, say a 96 zx7 would fit. I would like to be able to adjust the settings. Any help would be appreciated.

The 96 will have a remote resevoir on the shock, the 92 does not. Not sure on the bolts or of any clearance issues yet. Will have to look at the fiche and maybe that will help.

i know some guys are putting 12-R shocks on, but this requires drilling out the top mount hole.. not sure of if this will solve your problem.. that uber stretch tends to be hard on shocks!!

 

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of going with a fox but wasn't sure I wanted to pay that much for a shock. Thought maybe a later model would work.
