New to the forum and i have a qustion. The bike i am looking to buy is a 91 ZX-7R. The owner says that there is something on the tank stating that it's a certianmodel of bike. I can't remember what it said. What would that mean?

 

just guessing but they made a zx 750j model and a zx 750k model. maybe that is what he means. both are ninjas. the j model if i recall has a back seat where as the k model is more race inspired.

 

It's got a sticker on the tank. It is a 1990 Championship bike. Would this be a limited edition bike?

 

hmm, my '90 does not have a sticker. But from my knowledge, all 90's from the US did not have a sticker. Nor did the '89 models.

I have not seen a limited edition H1 or H2.

 

So would this mean that this bike didn't come from the states or just a rare bike?

 

I would say it's either rare or someone just put that sticker on there to make it look cool. might have to do some research to see if kawi had anything special out for that year.

 

So I did some more research about the sticker. There is nothing special about it. If a certain model of biek wins a championship then the manufactures send dealerships stickers to be put on the bikes. If the bikes were sold before they got the stickers then they didn't get put on.

 

AZ-kid well at least you know now. Well you could always tell people who ask it's a special bike. And leave it at that and see what they do.
