Welcome to KF trats
Slipping out of 2nd is not safe.
Any debris in the oil pan? Sounds like a trans pull and gear change at the moment.

^^^^ On what Dragone said. If the gear "dogs" are chipped from wear, it could be hard to get the bike into gear without grinding, and could easy cause the gear to slip out.

The dogs of the gear are the 6 "studs" that stick up on the face of this gear on the picture.

As of right now it is not hard to get it into gear and it will run fine untill right around 5 rpms . If I rev past 5 rpm and go to say 6.5 and then let out on the clucth it will go just fine its some thing about 5 or 4.5 I guess. I am not shore on the savings in the oil pan I will check it out and get backto you on that one

ya right now i ether skip 2nd or i ride it to only 3.5 rpms or so and then gear up. and yes i think the gear dogs are it
so what part do i get from the dealer [:@] . i have been told it will only take 75 to 100 dallors to get the part. is that about right.
I know that i sound stpid but once i get the book i can do it my self unless there is some one in my area that would like a few beers and help me.

You needed a winter project right? Get the factory manual if you can.

I had a guy tell me it sounded like the synchronizer. Could this be the problem? or is this guy just way out in left field? I just wnat to know befor I take it apart and find out there is some thing else or that i was way off and orderd parts that they will not take back.

I took a look at the oil and there was no metal in the oil at all
i dont know what that means but i am getting ready to take apart the bike
and brake into it.
