i am in the process off race preping a zx6r G1 (98) for next season to race in the thundersport league i would be greatfull if anyone out there could tell me off any new ideas or mods for a g1 to bring it more up to date and make it look alot newer and pleasing to the eye. I am interested in changing the old seat unit for a newer one. does any body know what else will fit the bake of the G1 would a 04 636 b1h fit does anybody know if so what did you have to do to get it to fit. perhaps a newer r6 would fit as they are quite nice. if there are any ideas please let me know. cheers deano.

This is your track bike as a novice. Make it however you want it to fit your racing sanction. ie, most say to keep the body style as how that yr looked and operated. So check your local regs on that one.

 

thanks buddy for some good advice the army team race in the thundersport serious which is the run up to bsb. for example Jenny Tinmouth races in the GP1. i am pitting in the paddocks all season until i have my bike ready and i know that i can do a fair bit mate. but id like to modernise the look alot. im racing in the golden era catergory which is anything pre 02 plate but i was wondering if i could get a newer tail on if so what. It does not have to be zxr as the yamaha r6 has a nice shape to it. so any thoughts or if any one else knows of what works and what i have to do then please let me know pics welcome cheers. deano

 

does any one else have any ideas for race moding a g1 zx6r? i would so be keen to do alot more including jazzing up the body work to a newer look.
