Default yoshimura rs-5

I just installedthe Yoshimura RS-5 slipon on my 08 zx6. It doesnt sound loud at all.Hardley louder than stock. Does it have a baffle or insert that can be removed to get more sound?

i was just checkin their site for ya (one i found anyway) and it didn't say anything about there being a removable baffle. i hope that i overlooked somethin. anyway here's the site, i dloaded the install instructions just to see if they mention the baffle and they don't http://www.yoshimura-rd.com/ps-3331-...n-slip-on.aspx

I didn't think yosh was a loud system at all. a guy in town has one on his 05 zx6r it has a nice tone but by no neans was it loud. My Boz exhaust is almost to loud. you can't even hear his bike next to mine.

There should be a baffle. Look on the inside of the pipe close to the swing arm area. should be a small rivet or screw that needs to be removed for the baffle to come out.

On the 07-08, they have an underseat exhaust. If there is a baffle, it looks like a smaller tube in the tailpipe. The RS-5 will get louder as you ride it more when the fiberglass packing blows/ wears out a little. If you want it louder and faster, do the ECU Jumper mod. More info in the DIY section.

i also have an rs-5 slip-on and i think its actually pretty loud in my opinion. my roommates can hear me coming home from about 3-4 miles away. im planning to get a PowerCommander for it soon.

My stepbrother has a yosh on his 05 and it sounds nasty! Its not super super loud but its got a real nice tone to it when you roll on it.
