windshield
Anyone ever just taken theirs off and painted the underside of it? I did today and as soon as I get it put back on i will take some pics and show it off. It don't look like it's gonna look bad. I am still wanting to get a chrome one, but for the time being, I hope this looks good...
No, never painted. I use it way to much a higher speeds. But, with the flexibility of the screen, I would think you would want a paint that would stay flexible. They make bumper paint in auto parts stores for the same reason. That way the paint won't chip and come off. JMO of course tho' You know what they say about that............
well i painted mine yesterday, and it seems to be ok. Inever use it and at night time it actually helps me see the guages better. no glare from street lights or anything. Mine is not flexible and yes it's the stock one. I am going to order a blue tinted one or a chrome blue one, but this is gonna get me by until i do so...

well in the 6 months i have had my bike, i have used it once. I don't go super fast so i don't need it to tuck behind. I have used it one time cuz i was trying to act like a dummy going down the main drag at 30 mph. ON the highway i get low, but not low enough to be able to see through it. Thanks though...

Krylon fusion paint is good for plastic, not much color choice though. If you paint with fusion first, regular paint will stick better to the fusion paint which will stick to the plastic, so if you stick with it, it'll turn out nice. Fusion can be found at your local wal-mart® retail store for like $4 a can. Fusion has more solvent in it to melt a little bit into the tissues of the plastic surface, into the very essence and being of the plastic.
