so this is my first bike, i'm using windex to clean it off after i'm done riding, bad idea? seems to work well, anybody know if the chemicals will react with the paint in a neg. way? looks like it works okay, just wanted to check with someone before i keep it up and dull the hell out of my bike or something. thanks guys

oh, and whats the best way to get the factory decals off? anyone have any tips with out f-in up the paint?

 

I dont think it will f it up as long as you keep a wax on it, windex will dry the paint out over time. I use it sometimes, but I also wax it once a week.

 

I and everyone else I know use Honda Polish... cheap and works wonderfully....

 

at the local bike parts store they told me to use margarine to remove decals?!? I use WD-40 to remove a tank pad with no problems...

 

Honda Polish is the best cleaner I have ever used. I wax the bike with a clay type caranuba wax once a year before I put it away for the winter and Honda Polish after every trip to get the bugs and tar off. It works on all surfaces, glass, plastic, paint, etc...

 

this place made me a believer in that said honda polish.

 

i like it but i also use plexus

 

plexus is good on stuff like the windscreen that the honda polish dont knock out.

 

I think I might have to try that stuff out one oh these days.
