Great post. I beat me a Viper the first day I bought my 06' 636 from a roll on the highway. Here's how it went down. I pulled next to the Viper, checked out his ride, and his girl. He revs and takes off. I calmly come back to his side, turn my head, then give him the knod.. I hear his RPMs soar, and boy oh boy.. did mine too. Spanked that Viper ***. Wooooh!

The bike looks like he's slowing down or blew the engine or something? Looks like an older R1 with a pipe. Unfortunately, the early R1's weren't very fast top end (02 R1 - 169mph). They should do another test like that with a ZX10, ZX14 or a Hayabusa.

One thing I have to give some of these high end sport cars is that they can do over 200 MPH due to less aerodynamic drag whereas with bikes, it increases geometrically the faster you go due to lack of slipstreaming. That's why your shirts ride up. It's caused by the vortex/ eddy currents generated from the vacuum in the air. If you had a tight leather suit with a hump and a slipstreamed tail cowl, you'd go faster. Remember the BIG UGLY tail cowls on the Suzuki TLR's & GSXR's? They were UGLY but helped.

I was on Palomar today and they were shooting a Porsche commercial, all the bad a$$ cars were there. I do n ot think we can keep up with the turbo one.

But all the ricers that want to race, unless they got 15k under the hood they are sh%t in the wind.

 

heh. i wish i had a dollar for every half *** fast and the faggotish wannabe that tried to smoke me on the road.. ive eaten everything from japanese to italian to german food. no competition, even if they have the ***** they wont go over 160.. from what ive seen this seems to be the turning point between men and mice on the speedo. the funnyest thing is when drivers with big cars for example Land Rover Sport or cars in this class try to leave faster at the stop light[sm=bounceybounce.gif]. But let's agree on something that everyone tries to show-off with what they have.our advantage that we go faster[sm=badidea.gif].
And another category are the limousines.These days a guy with an Audi A6 4.2 engine tried to pass me on a really long straight line...too bad he didn't realise i am about... 2 tons lighter...[sm=gears.gif]

When a car is able to go faster than 170 in less than a 1/2 mile is when they start to matter. Until then, they smell bike exhaust!

 

Now i am def a car guy but as soon as a got my bike things changed a little. Unless you got a ton of bank to spend you prob wont beat a bike.

 

Well, all of the ricers prob dont understand the concept of "power to weight ratio." I mean, that is all you need to have a fast vehicle. I guess alot of muscle-heads dont realize that even tho their muscle car has 400hp or so, that they weigh like 10x as much as a bike.

Another theory is that they might think their car is fast, but they wanna see how fast these bikes really are, being that they never were on one. If they were, they wouldn't try and race one...haha

Or, another theory is that they know how fast bikes are, think they are awesome, and wanna see them go fast.
