06 zx-6rr wheelie? how doesn't seem to have enough to get up? how?

You can either clutch it up in 1st gear or you can do a standup. I prefer the standup. To do a standup in 2nd gear your gonna want to go between 55 to 60 mph, standup, cut your throttle off and push down on your bars at the same time, then full throttle and yank back on your bars, once up its just throttle control. It should be a quick smooth fluid action. It might take you a little while to get the technique down, and you will probaly think your bike doesn't have enough power at first (least thats what i thought) but it does. You can actually do a 3rd gear standup at about 85 mph too, but you have to muscle it up a little bit. Anyways hope that helps, goodluck.

Once I get above 12,000 rpms the front wheel comes up on its own, that is probrably due to the larger 636cc engine. I can't take off full throttle without the wheel coming up. I almost want to lengthen the wheelbase to stop this but it is pretty fun. Your better off clutching it, letting off and snapping the throttle is bad for the chain and sprockets. They will stretch quickly.

dude i have an 03 zx6rr and i ride 2end gear weelies every day and all i have is a one down sprocket in the front, clutch that bad boy.

 

Mine just throttles up so I always take it easy accelerating. If I snap my wrist, hello blue sky. Speaking of blue skies, I'm in Vancouver B.C. right now on my way to Anchorage, Alaska (Going camping with my son in the Boy Scouts). Anyway, I saw this sweet Green ZX6R parked by Vancouver General. Had some nice stickers on it; should have taken a pic. Left a note/ invitation to join our forum on the bike so we'll see if he joins.
