I just bought my 2003 636 last week and was wondering what everyone else's temperature gauge reads normally. Here in Phoenix Arizona my temperature gauge reads between 195 F-214 F. Is this good or bad?

 

I could see that in hot temperature in stop and go traffic.

Around my neck of the woods itll be 140-150 cruisin but the longer im waiting at a light or something the more itll rise, but then falls right back down to normal(for me)

Are those temps your getting cruising or stopped?

 

180-205

 

140-160 cool driving
180-200 hot driving
200-214 hot sitting
i was worried at first but the temps go up and down a whole lot, if it gets to hot it will flash on your gauge where your trip meter is.

 

yah ive seen mine up in the 220s and that starter to make me nervous. ive noticed that while moving or just stopped my temp is usually air temp+100

 

here in fl im usually between 190-220ish. that sounds about right for you

 

I'm usually floating around 210-214 sitting at lights. but once i get crusing for about 15 minutes straight it'll drop to about 180-ish.

 

Well mine seems to be on par with everyone else's temps. Mine stays around 200 at stop lights and drops to 180 or so when i'm cruising. I just wanted to see what everyone else is getting.

 

Get some Water Wetter, MoCool or Engine Ice. I will help keep it a little cooler on really hot days. Make sure to only use Distilled water.
