What's the difference?
The ZX6R (636) has more bottom end and midrange and top end power too. It's good for stunting & trackdays buy if you decide to race, you will need the ZX6RR because the 636 won't be legal in the 600 classes.
Depends on the organization. A lot of them have a exception for 636s, and upto 675 for a triple for the triumph 675. My local race series allows the 636 in the 600 class.
Just me but why do you want to stunt your bike? me personal i think it's hard on a bike with everything the bike goes through. I don't know maybe it's me i just don't see the whole stunting thing. It's cool to see but won't atempt any of the stunts. just my 2cents.
I was told by a Stunter that the 636's & ZX6RR's have a problem with hydrolock when ridden at 12 O'clock position. Oil from the crank gets in the airbox & goes down the #3 & #4 cylinder causing a Hydraulic lock which ends up in a broken connecting rod and or broken engine case. The GSXR's have the same problem so you have to plug the airbox & route another breather from the top of the crankcase. Check with the stunters groups.
As far as my riding experience; I've been riding since 1981, raced for 5 years, stopped riding on the streetfor a while and am back at it again. I did a couple of trackdays and am thinking about racing again; probably endurance racing or just local club race stuff.
